"Ryan Parks is a mixed media artist, music producer/ performer, and CEO/ founder of critically robust cassette tape label, Harsh Riddims. He was born in College Park, GA and grew up skating all around Atlanta soaking up the dense kaleidoscopic cultural ooze found both in and outside the perimeter of Atlanta. Aside from his visual practice which usually takes shape as mixed media (Jacob Lawrence/ Matisse inspired in my opinion!) collage. He has been releasing music as Fit of Body for seven years. Fit of Body crafts soulful house ballads that draw on freestyle, Bell Hooks, old school Detroit techno, jazz, and southern rap passed through a No Wave paradigm. Fit of Body has previously released work on CGI, DKA, Ransom Note, 2MR, and his own label, Harsh Riddims" (Negashi Armada)
Tricky FM
Tricky FM, San Francisco based artist and producer, is inspired by the complex experience of being a “girl” navigating love, sex, intimacy, trust, art and fulfillment. Their music is influenced by early 2000s indietronica, drum and bass, ambient, freak folk and pop. Their most recent self produced album “Peace, Love, Unity, Rave” was released on local San Francisco label Cherub Dream Records in 2023.
Makeda
Makeda is an Oakland native, keyboardist, composer, DJ, and producer. She incorporates sampling, sounds of the 70’s and 80’s, and contemporary experimental Black musicians into her formal jazz education to weave tapestries of sound that take you far but bring you Home. She splits her time between Oakland, CA and New York City.
