Playing as a part of Scorsese: More Than a Gangster
When a word processor (Griffin Dunne) gets the number of a mysterious girl (Rosanna Arquette) and follows her to her apartment in Soho, he inadvertently begins the most horrible, deranged night of his life. One filled with experimental sculptors, Bad Brains, murder-hungry neighbors, and Cheech & Chong. This surreal dark comedy set over just a couple of hours in the life of a yuppie dragged out of his comfort zone is a thrilling, and truly warped, depiction of 1980’s New York City. It has this twisting, unsettled energy that refuses to give up until the end credits hit. Martin Scorsese never made a movie like this before, and he hasn’t made one like it again. And as its title suggests, it’s probably best seen After Hours.
Cast: Griffin Dunne, Rosanna Arquette, John Heard, Teri Garr, Catherine O’Hara, and Verna Bloom
